Guava milkshake recipe!

Guava is my favorite fruit. I have enjoyed eating a lot of fresh guavas in my childhood. There was a guava tree in our courtyard garden where we would always have guava fruits.

Last week my husband brought some guavas from the store and it all ripened at the same time. I love to eat guavas which are not too ripe. So I decided to try a guava milk shake and it turned out to be a wonderful recipe. It is tasty and healthy and helps you beat the summer heat. Guava is one of the wonder fruits rich in vitamin c, dietary fibers and antioxidants.It’s rich fiber content helps keep constipation at bay and it’s vitamin C content makes your skin glowing and youthful . Long term use of guava gives protection from cough, cold , infections and even some types of cancer.

Guava is also good for weight loss due to its low fat and calorie content while providing highly exceptional nutritional value : vitamin c 228 g per 100 grams of fresh guava fruit,vitamin A 21grams. Pink guava is rich in lycopene which protects you from harmful ultraviolet rays .It is also a rich in potassium which is good for your heart and regulates blood pressure. In addition to this it is rich in other vitamins and minerals like iron, calcium,riboflavins,magnesium and vitamin E.

For this recipe you need:

Guava: 2 ripe

Milk: 1 cup

Sugar: 1 table spoon

Nuts: Almonds, pistachio ( optional)

Wash the guava thoroughly and remove its skin Cut guava into small pieces and put it in a blender and add sugar to it. Once you have blended it into smooth paste, add the milk and blend it again. Add few ice cubes. Your guava milkshake is ready to serve. Enjoy the delicious healthy drink.
