WHAT IS SELF CONFIDENCE?

Self confidence is one’s own ability to value,admire and appreciate oneself and the courage to take responsibility for one’s own actions.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Low self-esteem or confidence maybe stopping you from living your dream life. Success and confidence both go hand in hand. They are the opposite sides of the same coin.

SIGNS OF LOW SELF CONFIDENCE:

Hate one self

Always feels worth less or not good enough.

Feels some one is unfair to you but not able to tell them fearing they may leave you.

Exhibit low decision making skills.

Self-subotage (Blame one self for mistakes that are not your fault.)

Feels that no one loves you.

Always look for validation and approval from others.

Ready to do anything to please people even if it is against your own comfort or well being.

REASONS FOR LOW SELF CONFIDENCE:

1. Experience of being bullied or abused.

2. Losing a previous job or difficulty in finding a new job.

3. Ongoing mental stress.

4. A relationship problem or a divorce.

5. Always feels lack of confidence from time you remember .

STEPS TO BUILD CONFIDENCE

1.SELF LOVE:

It is the building block of self confidence and self esteem. Love yourself and brighten up your future. It is only when you start to love yourself, you can understand your worth . Start raising your vibration of love by loving yourself. Your love for you is the first step to heal your self from the past wounds. Love yourself for who you are , what you do and why you do it. Love yourself because you are perfect in your own imperfection .

Love yourself because you are unique in your own ways. Self love helps you to realize that you are important,no matter what others say to you. Self love helps you realize and feel that you are important . You no longer need approval from others to be who you are.

2. FORGIVENESS

Be ready to forgive your self and forgive those who hurt you. It is only through Forgiveness that the greatest wounds can be healed. Forgive your self for your past mistakes and let it go. Forgive the people who hurt you , treat you badly, belittle you or took you for granted.

When you forgive them you are actually forgiving your self. Be kind to yourself , because you are worth it . Stop carrying the baggage from your past into the future . Save yourself.

4. AVOID NEGATIVE SELF TALK:

The life you live now are the results of your thoughts .Be careful about what you think. Always think of your self as the best in your own ways . You are the only person who talks to you in your head. Remind your self everyday that you are important . Remind your self that you are more than enough . Whenever the negative thoughts start creeping into your mind, write it down and replace it with new positive beliefs.

Your life become a nightmare when you compare yourself with others. No one is worth comparing .

5.SELF BELIEF :

We all want to change our lives. But how can you do it?Are you waiting for someone to come to you and say to you “I am here to help you to change your life and situations” . It is not going to happen .Do you pray to God every day?Dear God, please help me get out of this situation” and wait for him to come and change your situation and if it doesn’t happen, do you blame him for not helping you out? The only person who can change your life or situation is you . You were created with this power, the power given by God to change your life . But we often tends to forget this and start feeling powerless . Of course prayer is good .It helps you clear your mind of negative believes,fears and anxiety. It is an amazing tool to connect with the infinite source energy or God . You can definitely ask for guidance and help. It will be provided to you by the divine source . But the person to take necessary action is only you. You must first believe in yourself and be willing to take the necessary actions in order to change your life.

6. BE AROUND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE AND CARE YOU:

There are two categories of people in our lives .One who just use you for their benefits and then ignores you . Being with them make you feel unworthy. The others are the people who supports you and encourage you to move forward. They will always focus on self development. They don’t gossip about others when they are not around.

7. DO THINGS THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY.

What is the thing that you enjoyed doing most? What is your favorite hobby ? When was the last time you did it? Find time to do it. Because your happiness is important for you. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are happy.

8. APPRECIATION

Appreciate your self for the things you do. Don’t wait for something big to celebrate your success. Take time to appreciate yourself for the small victories. When you do something don’t do it for appreciation from others. Just do it and enjoy what you do.

9. STOP COMPAIRING

You must never compare yourself or your talents with those around you. There is no comparison between the Sun and the Moon . You can achieve nothing by comparison. It will only lower your confidence. Remember all of us are unique in our own ways.
